Denmark and China have a long-standing trade relationship. China is Denmark's largest trading partner in Asia, and the two countries have signed a number of agreements to deepen economic ties. The two countries also cooperate in areas such as renewable energy, education, culture, and science. Denmark is home to a small Chinese community, estimated to number around 10,000 people, and there are several Chinese cultural organizations and events held throughout the year. The two countries also have a diplomatic relationship, with China opening an embassy in Copenhagen in 1950, and Denmark opening an embassy in Beijing in 1983.
